asking about fuel regulator

newbies nak bertanya. aku baru pasang fuel regulator kat my neo cps. and sampai sekarang masih keliru, berapa pressure (psi) yang patot aku set kat fuel regulator tu. skang ni aku set dlm 3.5 psi. ok tak agak-agaknye tu? terlebih ke, terkurang ke?

no specific answer for your question.. the best way to get the best setting for fuel regulator is dyno tuning

just go to GT auto and do dyno tuning there.. pay around rm100 only and u can get around 3whp or more

fuel regulator is to make sure injector receive enauf fuel.
fuel pump is to pump more fuel into injector.
by installing a fuel regulator does not increase ur HP.

more fuel + more air (after tuning) = more power.

no.regulator is maintain fuel line pressure not increase fuel.
bigger cc injector+fuel regulator+fuel pump=more power
by just changing 1 part is no use at all.

ic.. but one of neo r3 owner get 8whp increased just by doing proper tuning to FPR for better air fuel ratio.. stock reading is 121whp.. final reading 129whp

oh ya...seems no much use of fuel regulator for NA cars.hope their cars fuel line dun burst.later go kaboom for ur car.
bangballs to spend for 8whp end up total lost.

just an advice.

It's me who get that 8whp... And i get it from Dyno tune... To maintain the AFR, there will be no engine blow because of it, its been dyno for OPTIMUM level..

So your statement about "hope their cars fuel line dun burst.later go kaboom for ur car" is not relevent for me as im using Dyno tune as guidance (with wideband sensor) not using try/guessing and error method.......

and i got evidence to support this...

But actually yes.. FPR dosnt increase HP actually.. i still dont know how i get 8whp...(BTW im using Ron95 at that time...) this make thing more confusing....

PS: Blue is before adjusting the FPR

There is no point in changing increasing the fuel pressure unless you fine tune the injector timing to maintain proper A/F ratio.

The benefit of higher fuel pressure (apart from ensuring the engine will not run lean) is possibly finer fuel spray which aid mixing, evaporation and enhance combustion. But this is provided the injector holes is small enough so it will spray very fine droplets, else its useless. AFAIK, only those with multiple holes benefit from this.

3.5 psi rasanya setting standard kilang...
u nak pick-up,tinggikan sikit 3.6-3.7 cukup n jgn tinggi sangat nanti injektor cepat kondem...
nak layan top speed maintain stock atau rendahkan sikit jer to 3.4psi...

tune adjustable fpr atas dyno mesin tu dia test setiap gear ratio ke bang...
pengalaman sy dia tune pd ratio gear 3 atau 4 jer... bkn semua,
mcm mana kalau enjut ke tarik ke masa ratio 1,2, salah satu 3/4 dan 5, cun tak pressure tu...
itu strategi mereka berniaga...
sebarang mod engine pun nak kena sesuai dgn ratio gbox yg ada...

its not that im against GT AUTO but ready to lose 5-7 HP if u do dyno at any other place (dynojet only)..n FPR wont gain that much of HP
Errrr, il try to scanned other places where i dyno test .. I get around 128.9 whp.. so that mean same as 129.02whp at gt auto . BTW they are using dynojet too ..

Plus humidity and temperature factor can change the outcome~ (about humidity i dont actually confirm).

PS: i dont think GTauto that bad because there too many high performance car tune there and i dint heard any bad review from them till now...


BTW, about the gearing oh well, that's why im there, to ask them try all of the gear, (dint test for 5th gear actually . .) that's why as you can see i test for 15 round not 3 time only~

namun hati-hati tune afpr tu jgn smpai injektor stock u cepat defect...
cube la study/google sikit afpr ni, lebih sesuai utk mod kategori turbo ke, supercharge ke, NA ke...
dengan mod pd kadar kos rm300-rm500 hingga naik 7-8 brake horse power, logiknya dah tentu pembuat kereta dah pasang siap-siap pd kerete mereka...

guna high-lift cam (billet) bukan high-cam ( yg re-grind lebih utk duration jer)+piggiback ecu pd NA berkos rm3.5-4k pun hasilnya ciput aje...

namun apa-apa pilihan/keputusan ditangan empunya keter...
