My recent visit to Hong Kong, has been fruitful. I had been to the country almost 20 years ago, back in 1991. I wouldn't have remembered how vibrant Hong Kong would be at the age of 7. When you are grown up and you actually revisit again, you realise how awesome that place would be.
As there is Ladies' Street on Tung Choi Street, there is definitely the opposite for men shopping. As you walk on to the next street, between Kwong Wa Street and Dundas Street, there are heaps of shops selling hobby and collectible toys, mostly for men.
Most shops here sell almost everything guys would want. Of course, there would be small die cast cars, scaled model kits and figurines, remote control cars, BB bullet guns and adult magazines. If anything, it would be worth the visit to drop by Hong Kong to find almost everything you want. You will never be short of anything that is Masculine on the street itself.
The prices were reasonable, they were about the same selling price as sold in Japan. However, you would most likely bump into older unsold and rare Japanese toys, that have been long sold out in Japan. Also, you could buy tons of accessories for your model kit car, if you can't find them in Malaysia
Overall, while the food and lodging might be expensive, it might be worth while to drop by over in Hong Kong for a visit. You might bump into supercars parking right in front of your or waiting at the lights on the traffic light. But yeah, nothing beats the variety of hobby items you can get from there. I've picked up some train sets and some die cast over there. I'd look forward again to go to Hong Kong one day for more car crazed shopping.
Sorry for the poor pictures, I was using my Iphone 3GS
