okay ma..1k abosobers with springs
now 1 year plus use in track all also good..

4G61T 1.6 DOHC Turbo .. cool engine but i have to say its , expensive compare with the 4G63 vr4 . the 4G61T halfcut cost around some where 2800 to 3500 . but 1 thing about the 4G61T you can use almost everything , from the engine , gearbox , wiring , power steering rack , dash board , disc brake front & rear , shock absorbers and much more . as for the vr4 not much stuff u can use ..

as for the 6A10 its not recommended , cause its a v6 engine , when comes to change your timing belt & your spark plugs it will take some time & its very hard to reach out for the other 3 spark plugs near by the firewall ..

Thanx for the info vestax, is that hard to find (4g61t)? how many mounting need to mod?

i always heard ppl discussing about 4g61t, but i have never seen any car(proton) or photos that is with 4g61t inside.

how old or is that as much trouble as vr4 engine?

i have to say that vr4 are much cheaper then the 4G61T and its much powerful then the 4G61T , and its newer then the 4G61T .. 4G61T production line around 1984 to 1991 if not mistaken . as for vr4 1989 to 1993. 4G61T , 4G67 , 4G63 vr4 falls in the same family , basicaly cousins . i think u need to modify 3 mountings , just like putting the vr4 in to the iswara . oh when transplanting the engine in , make sure u know what is your mechanic going to do , some mechanic will pull back the engine to the maximum , some will follow the original mounting but will cut some part of the body to fit in the radiator . cause the turbine will be very close to the radiator . its like 1 finger gap .

3 mounting ok...anyway so it's suppose to pull the engine back to the max better? instead of cut the body?

vr4 is much cheaper so i assume will be around 2k to 2.5k? include installation or only halfcut?

the vr4 you mention is that 4g93t?

you have any idea which workshop has experienced in transplating 4g61t? :ph34r:

my budget will depends on overall cost.

i had a friend told me the cost to do everything(vr4) will be around 8-10k is that true?

i tot 4g63 is EVO engine? :ph34r:

whats your budget for the overall cost ?. evo & vr4 using the same engine code but different engine specs .. conversion cost around there la , 8k would be good enough to get everything done , like jpj , suspension , brakes and can touch up the engine abit la ..
