I've been offered to buy a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS 1996 (registered 2000) for 80,000. Is that considered a good buy? It's a personal car.

What should I look out for when I inspect the car?

it's blue in colour, I need to go view the car first, will post some details once I've seen it, sure if I tak jadi anyone who's interested can take it. It's a single turbo RB25dett engine, rear wheel drive.

acbc, no lah where can compete with blackie, original skyline body damn heavy la, I think it is almost 1500kg if I'm not mistaken, with only 200+ hp (not sure what is the actual hp for GTS) so I'm not expecting much in performance, just like the looks and the upgrade potential.

dude

r33 gts25t uses RB25DET, not twin turbo TT. hehehe

anyway, don't need to compete2 la. R33 damn nice if u do up the body and just up the power to around 350hp... nice to drive already.

where's the car? can follow to look c look c. heheheh

187kw or around 250hp in a car that weighs 1350kg IIRC

its a GTST not GTS then

the RB25DET which very much living in the shadow of the RB26 has lots of potential

go to http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forum for more info on Skylines

If I have the cash now, it has to be either the 300Z (love the design) or R32 GTR (for AWD).

Danny,

A time will come for u to buy an 'ori' Jap car for experiment / future mods. Also, good resale value in the future.

just wondering, can the GTST be converted to GTR, including the 4WD option?

that's a damn steal. there must be a catch somewhere so be very cautious. i just sold a 1993/2003 gts last month for much much more. also demand was just crazy, LOTS of people looking for skylines esp. cheaper ones ie. around 100k or cheaper

dont la scare the guy like that. hehehe... later he go catch fly only. hehehe ;)

R33 GTS25t to R33 GTR? not that easy but doable la. R32 GTSt to R32 GTR is easier. :D if you're planning to put RB26dett, i suggest you keep it RWD. will saves u a lot of hassles including authorities.

Hello everyone.

I'm using 205/40/17 now. I'd like to change to bigger tires because the ride is kinda harsh now. I'm hoping for 215/45/17. One is problem is that bigger tires will hit my absorbers. I asked some tire shops and they said 205/40 is the biggest i can go. They even said wheel spacers are not so good. I'm driving an oldschool Mazda EC, it's a 2 door chassis based on Mazda BG. So the suspension system is exactly the same but not sure about the offset. The original rims had a...
