Mod plan - 4g93 na

Hi all,

I have a satria 1.8 – 4G93 DOHC presently running on a Japanese eternal ECU with code of 6123.

I am unhappy with the performance thus planning to mod in order to achieve approx. 170bhp +/-

I was told I can overwrite the 6123 ECU by fixing an EMANAGE, please advise if it would re
ally work well. From what I know, the best ECU for 4g93NA is the good-old 5537 which was used on the putra / wira of year 1996.

Which sort of pistons & race cams, degrees etc should I go for and all other tips are most welcomed.

You may follow my mod, max 151whp without touching the engine internal.

- 60mm throttle body
- GSR intake manifold and ported to 60mm to match with my throttle
- 272 cam
- hotbit 4-1 & Apexi N1
- open pod air filter
- Idrium spark plug & normal 7mm silicone plug cable

On-wheel dyno : max 146whp & 162nm

- Adjustable cam pulley
- E-manage

On-wheel dyno : max 151 whp & 165nm

All dyno with Ron 95 petrol.

If u plan move ahead this number, head port and polish, 82mm high compression piston should be able to help u.

You may follow my mod, max 151whp without touching the engine internal.

- 60mm throttle body
- GSR intake manifold and ported to 60mm to match with my throttle
- 272 cam
- hotbit 4-1 & Apexi N1
- open pod air filter
- Idrium spark plug & normal 7mm silicone plug cable

On-wheel dyno : max 146whp & 162nm

- Adjustable cam pulley
- E-manage

On-wheel dyno : max 151 whp & 165nm

All dyno with Ron 95 petrol.

would it better for me to opt for 5537 ecu and pair with an emanage of my current 6123 ecu would suffice for optimum performance..

I've always trusted that 4g93 has potentials

Will share my dyno chart once I back to Penang.
Once u plug in with e-manage, stock ecu code number is not important already. :biggrin:

How about independent throttle body mod? Something like 4 Throttle from 4A-GE 20 Valve....

what sort of aftermarket part is less..
For northern area, choice for aftermarket part is less ...:bawling:
This is why my Satria with Mivec inside still run with 70% of stock set up.
After bring in Putra with 4G93 inside, just realize that choice for 4G93 is huge compared with Mivec :biggrin:

hi. i was wondering, wat effect if lets say a 15inch rims on the old perdana sei convert to a 17inch rims? overall size is still the same as the 15 inch rim tyres are thicker while 17 inch rims tyre are thinner.

whats the effect from chaging from 15 inch to 17 inch? and whats the effect of the thicker and thin tyres? thx. :)
