Duncan/Playmaxx/ProYo Cold Fusion
Duncan/Playmaxx/ProYo Cold Fusion YoYo.
It was purchased new, many years ago, kept as spare and has never been used.
Cleaning out my old bedroom and I found this at the back of my closet.
The Cold Fusion is not currently being manufactured any more and is a
collectors item.
Did you know that Playmaxx produced the Cold Fusion yoyo before Duncan? The
Playmaxx Cold Fusion Yoyo is a rare collector item that is very difficult to
find. The Cold Fusion yoyo was unsurpassable in its time period, and when it
stands up to other metal yoyos of today, it still can hold its own.
Made of aircraft-grade aluminum and featuring a ball-bearing axle, was one of
the longest spinning yo-yos in the world in its time. Holder of previous World
Records for spin time, the Cold Fusion is capable of spin times over 10
minutes! (You probably won't be able to sleep it anywhere near that long
without months and months and months of practice.) It also has catchy
coloring, with one half gold, and the other half, black.
Playmaxx released the Cold Fusion in 1998. Soon after, it became one of the
most popular metal yoyos on the market. It sold for $150.00 at that time and
they could not produce enough of them to keep up with the demands in the
yo-yoing community! The Playmaxx Cold Fusion Yoyo is a classic and definitely
a collectors item.
