To me I stay above 10cm sidewall. To me about 10.5-11.5cm sidewall in general gives the best compromise between comfort and handling response.
That depends also on tyre type, model, construction and width. Like runflats thick sidewall still bumpy....

True but in general that's my criteria for choosing tire size, coz going further into those details is rather difficult to know already (apart from the RFT and I probably will never use RFT anyway).

Hahaha I might! But most tires weigh almost the same so it's not as much of a factor. So far based on what I've read, only the Sport Maxx RT and maybe some Continentals (like the CSC5 & DW Extreme Contact) are >1kg lighter than most tires. Some has mentioned also the Michelin PSS but I don't know exactly how light they are. Can check in tirerack website even though not complete.

What's the weight? Still about 10kg? If not mistaken F1 Assy is still normal average weight, still not as light as the Sport Maxx RT or CSC5. Wondering how much the weight of the PS3 & RE003 also.

Using my old human weighing scale, so how accurate I am not sure but Asy was slightly below 10kg mark and Asy2 was slightly below 9kg mark. Moreover Asy was half worn and Asy2 was brand new.....:driver:

I checked just now in tirerack that the F1A2 for your size 215/45/17 is exactly 9kg so yeah not bad, relatively light also.

Who you check with on Rovelo price? Their higher performance Sport A1 215/45R17 only RM230. RHP78 also RM230?, what about the RHP A68?
Or can try Yokohama C-Drive 2, here RM290 can get, maybe JB more costly.....:smokin:
Rovelo facebook page replied and quoted me RM238 inclusive of GST and transport.

Told them the pricing that I was given previously; he told me the girls who pick up the call didn't know about the promotion. :banghead:

Anyway the company selling the tyres is Quick Save Automart. Going to make payment next week and hopefully the tyres won't disappoint me.....

So now is inclusive of transport, can try since cheaper by almost RM100 per tyre.
How much are the mounting and balancing charges in JB?

One tyre shop told me it will be RM20 and below for 1 tyre...
Alloy rims with stick on weights the balancing will cost around RM6 to 10, probably the mounting they charge RM10 too. You don't have a regular shop that you go to? If not, probably can ask around first and compare...

This shop I have visited couple of times, the owner mentioned less than RM20 so maybe is about
RM16 like what you have estimated.

Actually I am having second thoughts.... Is the saving of ~Rm70/tyre (total RM140) for Rovelo against Hankook justified my selection of Rovelo tyres? What's your opinion?

Thanks.

What model of Hankook tyres? The S1 Noble 2 or V2 Concept 2. If S1 then it is higher grade as V2 is lower as far as I know.

I called today and they said is Hankook ME02; is this an even lower grade?

Just worried whether Rovelo is safe for my occasional family trip from JB to Penang.

One tyre shop even suggested to change my tire size to 215/60R16. Is this advisable?
