It seems like whether we like it or not, fossil fuel will soon run out and electric cars will fill in the gaps left by these dinosaurs. Of course, it is hard for us to digest the idea that an electric car will match the performance of those powered by petrol, but more and more manufacturers are trying to make that happen, with the latest being from Faraday Future (FF).

And a couple of days back, FF had taken the covers off their new concept called the FFZERO1 which is built upon an optimized engineering system called Variable Platform Architecture (VPA) to provide quality and safety with minimum cost.

Yes, this FFZERO1 might just be a concept, but the looks and the numbers really do interest us. For starters, it will have four motors (one on each wheel) to provide a combined output of 1,000-horsepower. With such power, zerotohundred takes less than three seconds and a top speed of over 320km/h.

And with FF’s new relationship with Letv, FF will get valuable access to Letv’s technological expertise where they could combine technology and innovation in the automotive world through the use of internet and cloud based programming and content derived for entertainment purposes.

“What we’ve announced illustrates the strength of our team, vision, partnerships and speed. We’re a forward-thinking company focused on the future of mobility, but we also share a passion for driving and performance. On our platform, electric vehicles will not only deliver on sustainability, but will be seamlessly connected and exhilarating to drive,” said Nick Sampson, SVP, R&D and Product Development at FF.
