With a massive V12 pumping out approximately 700 wild Italian horses to all four tires, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is not a machine you would like to mess around with. But what happens if Lamborghini decided to shave off some more weight from this Big Bull and pumps more power in it? What you will get is a lighter and faster monster finally unshackled from its chains.

The Lamborghini Aventador Super Veloce benefits from a diet regime that omits 50kg from its previous weight and receives 50PS more, bringing the figures up to 750PS. But are all these numbers all for show and no go? Not exactly as Lamborghini took the Aventador SV for a run at the Nurburgring and had really made its mark on the charts.

Fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, the unnamed driver had taken the Bull to unchartered territory as he managed to clock an astonishing sub-7 minutes lap time of 6:59.73 seconds! Not sure how fast that is? To put it into perspective, Porsche with their current crown jewel, the 918 Spyder, lapped the Nordschleife in 6:57 which had earned them the title of the fastest production car that have lapped the ‘Ring. And the Nissan GT-R Nismo? Not even close with the 7:08.69 lap time.

This means that for the time being, the Aventador SV is the second fastest production vehicle that have lapped the Nurburgring. Considering it has no hybrid system on board, this is an amazing achievement from the guys who make the best bedroom wall posters since its establishment. So what are you waiting for, McLaren? We are still waiting for the P1’s timing you know…
