Porsche introduces the new Macan GTS to fit between the S and Turbo!

Porsche had recently launched the new Macan GTS to fit nicely between the S and the Turbo variant that are separated by a 60-horsepower gap. Making its debut at the recent Tokyo Motor Show, the new Macan GTS also gets a more powerful version in the form of the ‘S’ where the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine has been tuned to produce 355-horsepower at 6,000rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque between 1,650-4,000rpm.

The engine is mated to a standard seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission combined with Porsche’s Traction Management system (PTM). Zerotohundred takes only 5.2 seconds and an extra 0.2 seconds can be shaved off if the optional Sport Chrono Package is fitted with while the top speed is rated at 257 km/h.

According to Porsche, they had recalibrated the Stability Management System, upgraded the brakes to 380mm front rotors clamped by six-piston calipers, and 330mm rear rotors with single-piston calipers, added a sports exhaust system and air suspension.

As for the exterior, it now hosts a number of black exterior accents and 20-inch ‘RS Spyder’ style alloy wheels finished in Satin Black. The Porsche LED headlights feature four-point daytime running lights which come as an optional extra. On the inside, the GTS is fitted with leather seats as standard and upgraded audio infotainment system. A GTS Package is offered as an optional extra where it comes with Carmine Red tachometer and deviated stitching, seat belts and embroidered GTS logo on the headrests.
