It is the company’s most powerful and quickest production model ever made. Receiving a lot of upgrades, the Lotus Evora 400 is not to be underestimated as this two door sports car has proved itself pretty well be obliterating its predecessor’s lap record at the Hethel test track in Norfolk. Soon to enter the production lines, Lotus has finally revealed the price tag that will come along this sharpened Evora.
Now being made available for orders in Europe, the prices for the Evora 400 will start at €96,000 (RM 385,687) and deliveries will commence somewhere in August. The Americans will have to wait for a bit as the Evora 400 will only reach their shores in December, while China and Japan is expected to receive their first batch of this hardcore Lotus early next year.
Powering the Evora 400 is an uprated 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine that pushes out 400bhp and 302 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to do a zerotohundred in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 300km/h. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual (with limited-slip differential) or an optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Receiving a retuned suspension setup, the Evora 400 also gets larger brakes and a revised aluminium chassis that shaves off 22kg from its original weight. Now with a more aggressive body work with a three-element wing at the back, the Evora 400 rolls on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear lightweight forged aluminium rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports rubber.
