The new Acura NSX features a new hybrid system called the Sport Hybrid Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive System (Sport Hybrid SH-AWD). The twin-turbocharged V6 engine is assisted by an electric motor to power the rear wheels, while two more electric motors power the front. The electric motors are fed by a lithium-ion battery mounted low in the car and are recharged with regenerative braking.
