The Audi RS 6 Avant is no pushover. Not to be deceived by its family-friendly wagon look, it packs a 4.0-liter V8 engine that pushes out a mighty 560-horsepower. With the power of a Lamborghini Gallardo stuffed in such a vehicle, one would be crazy into thinking of adding more power onto its wheels; which they did.
Although this has yet to be made official, a blunder made by an Audi dealer in the UK had spread like wildfire where they accidentally released the details of what it seems to be the new Audi RS 6 Avant Plus. Last seen in 2004, there were talks of the Plus variant making a comeback since last year but none other details emerged since then. This leak however might have been the confirmation that the RS 6 Avant Plus will soon be making its way to the production lines.
From the leaked information, it is said that the 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine will receive a 40-horsepower gain, giving it 600-horsepower. While they did mention that the Plus will get ‘greater agility’, no further elaboration was released on such matter.
The best bet is that the Plus will receive suspension and brake upgrades to improve its agility, and not forgetting some weight-saving measures. Like the TT RS Plus and the R8 V10 Plus, the RS 6 Avant Plus will not be limited in production.
