Pagani Bidding Farewell to the Zonda with One Last Model, the Revolucion!

We thought Pagani will never end the Zonda. Although the production officially ended two years ago, they still kept on producing some special edition models like the 764 Passione; probably because they did not really want to end the legacy of this outstanding hypercar. But all good things will come to an end, and Pagani had just announced the last of the Zonda breed.

It is called the Revolucion, and like all Zondas, it looks absolutely evil. Feasting the eyes of the beholder is that naked carbon fiber body and an extensive aero setup that matches even the F1 cars of today. New bonnet deflectors, vertical rear stabilizers, and Pagani’s own Drag-Reduction-System is implemented on the rear wing. All these setup coupled with a carbon-titanium monocoque tips the Revolucion scale to a featherweight 1070kg.

And down at the power department, the 6.0-liter V12 engine from the Zonda R has been tweaked to produce a stratospheric 800-horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. To keep such power under control, the car has been equipped with a 12-stage traction control system, and improved braking that incorporates the new CCMR brake discs derived from Formula 1.

All these fancy toys are properly backed up with a very fancy price tag; 2.2 million Euros, or RM 8.9 million in Malaysian terms. But we think it is a properly good investment to make since the Zonda is a very rare machine, and there will only be five Revolucions around.
