After showing the EXIGA concept at last years Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru has released the new Exiga that is bound to stir headlines with its seven seater functionality combined with the sleek looks of a modern wagon. Subaru has managed to keep the Exiga very close to the well received Exiga concept car that includes a panaromic roof.
Subaru has packed four different engine variants into the Exiga; the entry level 2.0i, the luxurious 2.0-L, the sporty 2.0i-S and the 2.0GT which is very likely to be the base model for the STi model, if there ever will be one, as it is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter DOHC horizontally opposed boxer engine that’s good for 225hp. The other boring models get the 2.0 liter DOHC boxer engine that puts out a puny 148hp at your foot.
The non GT, naturally aspirated are mated to a four speed auto transmission with Sportshift and Active Torque Split AWD, while the GT lays its power down via a five speed auto with Sportshift thats coupled to Subaru’s highly regarded SI-Drive and Variable Torque Distribution System.
