Awesome Singaporean Nissan GTR in Flat Black.
June 18, 2008
You now know that it’s possible to have different exterior finish you want at will without compromising cash and body condition. With the rising rate of custom sports cars sporting the flat look, vinyl freaks found new interest.
To lay some kind of film over the entire body of the car, eliminating the need to paint forever. Almost. Very smart.
Though commonly mistaken for unfinished primer, the fact is, Flat is the new Metallic.

Nevertheless, the trend is picking up, as proven by what could be badged the coolest Nissan GTR in South East Asia you see below. Imagine not having to go nuts over chips and blasted front bumpers, bird droppings, keyed panels, SWIRL marks and above all, cancellation of the yearly car detailing subscription.

The only product our friend from the neighbouring country needs is probably an industrial sized bottle of Armour All for all his detailing needs.
So, can this B-35 GTR stealth bomber escape the eye of the Traffic Police of the fine country? A 180km/h low flying pass along Singapore’s 90km/h limit PIE would help.

Kudos to VanQ for awesome photography.

have been an admirer of sports car in Flat Black..
it gives a very stealth and fierce look
This car is awesome. Totally different style as previous GTRs. Too bad the price is way too high. Sigh.
cool!
whos car is it?
just spray the paint on car without clear…so it looks flat then….
but i think have to mix it with hardener or something else to make it last longer…without clear, paint tends to fade and cracks then….
If Im not mistaken, the R34 flat-black was belong to one of the tuner’s shop. I can’t remember it correctly though. Maybe it was RedSuns? Previously the car was in fluorescent green with huge red sun with it’s glaring sticker on the car. Then, the car being used as MYD1GP Demo car for K.Tsuchiya to test the drift layout and then it was painted flat-black with bamboo’s stickers (I think Tom’s Stickers did those).
skazareth,
for the first few races, the GTRs are/will be using the VK45DE V8 (NA) engine which was used in past season for the 350Zs. Later on they’ll start using the VR38DETT V6 (Turbo) engine.
