All-New City shows sign of robust sales: Petaling Jaya, 2 February 2009 – Honda Malaysia announced today that the recently launched All-New City has exceeded its monthly sales target of 1,500 units, with confirmed orders close to 6,000 units as of 31 January 2009.

Besides being convinced by its performance and brand reliability, the new dynamic and stylish outlook is one of the most attractive aspects to most of the customers. When asked in a brief survey, most of the customers are pleased by the revamped exterior of the All-New City that is now much more sporty and stylish.

Current sales trend shows this model has captured both married couples and singles who are in the range of 20-39 years of age with a ratio of 65:35.

The All-New City is available in the 1.5-liter i-VTEC Grade E and Grade S variants at RM89,980 and RM84,980 on the road respectively at all authorised Honda dealers nationwide. While the Grade S offers essential features of the All-New City, the Grade E variant offers fun to drive features such as paddle shift, rear reclining seat, rear underseat tray and 16-inch alloy wheels.

These two variants come in a selection of five colours with Crystal Black Pearl and Polished Metal Metallic being the two most favoured colours along side with Alabaster Silver Metallic, Bold Beige Metallic, and the signature color Deep Lapis Blue Metallic.

Encouraged by the robust sales, Mr. Atsushi Fujimoto, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia express that the company is indeed pleased and motivated by the overwhelming response that the All-New City had received at such an early stage.

“This response has clearly shown that the 3rd Generation City could well be one of the most appealing packages currently available in the market. Given the current market situation, the All-New City is a highly promising choice that is value for money, in addition to its complete package of style, performance and practicality. We believe that this latest introduction has what it takes to excite the market and suitably meet the consumers’ expectation if not exceeding it,” Mr. Atsushi Fujimoto added.

Honda Malaysia invites and welcomes all Malaysians to visit their authorised dealers and showrooms to view and test drive the All-New City. For more information, please call Honda Toll Free number at 1-800-88-2020, or log on to http://www.excitementinthecity.com.my for more information.

i wonder how long is the waiting list....

I hope no one speculated this car, just like when the new Proton Gen2 was launch. Ppl that "booked" their car and later just change ownership could earn RM500 -RM750 by selling to another ppl.

some customers didn't want to wait that long to obtain their car....

Ciplak or not, its selling much more than before. Told ya the designs & equipment would sell more cars than technology nowdays. No matter how good technically the new VIOS is, it just ain't a looker.

I heard that one sales manager of a Toyota dealer actually bought one City. Now the car has arrived, they are inviting consumers/friends to get to know the 'bad points' of City and why Vios is better. HAhaha..

No choice... there are not many nice car you can find at this range... if i am the designer, i sure the Nissan will need to retrench another 20,000 of his staffs.
