Hi all,

Anyone here can share their favourate shop to buy any spare part?

I stay in Seremban but work in KL. I was supprise that no spare part in Seremban for swift!

I intend to buy absorber and need to know what is the best price for this items:-

1) Gas absorber (monroe / kayaba) - front
2) Oil based absorber (any brand)

Where is the place (workshop) can fine tune the swift engine for GT-i engine?

Many thanks

so, you're the new owner of ferrari red.

ok..for normal ride, std kayaba just for normal drive with stock spring. if you gonna drop your car and serious about your handling, prefer for gas filled type.
not much choice at the market. Monroe??around rm190 per pcs front and rear.
famous brand malaysian made (GAB)?? ppl said it SUCKK!!!
if you'd a choice, entered spore and get KONI adjustable for SGD4++ or Hotbits ride height adjustable damping for SGD8++.

ali kemuning kedai potong suzukisport best allrounder but the quality??depend on previous owner.

hi magnet i have part for u.

1) 2 front absorber suzuki sport with spring coil
2) 2 rear absorber KYB NewSR

PM me

Previous owner saying that u looking for brand new absorber not used absorber right?

I managed to get Monroe Gas absorber for him, the price is less a bit from Ali Kemuning & surprisingly I found it at Gombak area with brand new, no need to go to Bukit Kemuning, petrol & tol jimat already.Price for front & rear is about RM200 per piece, workshop / foreman may be can get less more, I think so.

original suzuki use tokico as factory std.OEM parts is a kayaba.if you wanna enjoy comfort std ride, kayaba just enough.at sen hui sentul, they sell around rm140-170. i'd try it before and not much different with old one.i try monroe and its firm a little it more due to gas filled.drop down 35mm with B+G spring, the car hits harder at pitshole and ram.handling much improve and confident.with full loaded, the car still stable.i then try koni adjustable with a few setting, feel soft but stable.kmh at the hiway with bumpy road (johor area), still good.
due to family concern, i change to gti spring and till now, the suspension is nice and firm.to hold the grip during cornering, 15" alloy wheels is just enough and i add a gti sway bar (original 2 doors have it), cornering even sharper, no oversteer.
so when we wanna choice the best damping, we need to match all.and most important is your required set up.
std comfort and stability - kayaba (oil base)
firm ride and xtra stability - monroe (gas filled)
xtra comfort with stability - koni damping adjustable.
firm ride, comfort with xtra stability - koni with eibach / apex spring
for competition - suzukisport damping adjustable and spring. (very expensive)
for road use and competition - suzukisport damping with gti spring.
for competition set up - hotbits ride height and damping adjustable (most popular in aussie)..pric range is Spore, sgd 1200. still cheap compare to speedwork price = rm3500.
the absorber come with hotbits performance spring.

other brand to avoid:
local assemble absorber and spring. e.g kimex spring, koni red, GAB red, PRS ride height etc.
these brand is nice during first installation and deteriorate rapidly and you loose your grip and comfort.

other option:
customize absorber by rebuild it. a few swifter had try but it costly.the result is depends on owner.

fyi, for any brand you choose, please ensure it has a certificate. e.g TUV.
this is the german toughest test.normally it can withstand for more than 5 years. e.g Koni absorber.it can last till 10 years with proper set up and care.

Valuable knowledge from bro otai, maybe bro Magnet can directly see you for more details...........

Assallamualaikum and happy day for all,

Thank you very much for that informations. I believed , this knowledged just not for me but usefull for all the member.

We need the member who had experienced as avb9750 to share with us.

i used this monroe about 1 weeks. I feel comfort. i still need the rear bumber to get the best result. anyway not this week maybe next week, koyak la my pocket.

1) i must modify the air-cond, 2 air-cond man said , swift blower air cond is slow, to have the best result, we must modified the air cond. it is true.?

2) Any guy here know where is the best place to "tuning 1.3 twincam engine"?
i when to seremban here not one can tune this engine. I when to the jalan ipoh mechanic there, they tuned 3 time my engine but still not satisfied laa.

bro mie, you are very helpfull person. I so lucky buy this car from you. thanks very much bro.

corection: still need the rear absorber NOT the rear bumber. Sorry..

No problem, as long as I can help you, I will, insyallah.....
For the rear absorber, tell me when you are ready, the price as I told you before, if you can get better price outsite, even better....

magnet,
aircond is another compact car weakness. Not only swift.BUT gti a/c set is better than GL even using the same compressor size.its due to the bigger condensor.however, there's a room to make it better.but firstly ensure your std a/c parts function well.or else, you waste money of modification.
efi tune??gti use an engine mapping.no specific tune require for std engine.just make sure your car free from any engine error code.
idle? set to 850rpm a/c off and 950rpm a/c on.
