Need to know why? DC5 ...

Has anyone tried Redline Lightweight Shockproof gear oil on their teg?

I've had issues with gear crunch on my Civic before and used the gear oil (replacing Motul 90PA) and the crunching noise disappeared..

My car is due for servicing!

bro, do you know if this can be use with 1.5way clutch plate LSD transmission?

Chris:
According to my research on "Redline Lightweight Shockproof Gear Oil" (which i'm using now), it's completely compatible with ALL differentials , it's also stated on the packing itself.

I'm still braking in the oil (or is it breaking in?) ....... so can't give a full review of it yet.

chris, the redline should work well with any differentials. One of our fren is using this oil for h
his gearbox with full-lock LSD.

Haven't tried this yet on my teg but on my civic Y1 transmission works very well.. Have been maintaining this for 3 services. Motul 90PA n FF LSD doesn't eliminate my crunching gear problem..

NFS:

bro ..... any fluids meant to lubricate moving parts or shafts under high stress and duress should be broken in gently, slowly & tenderly ..... otherwise, there might be perforations and tears ending in a "painful" situation  ................. get what i mean? :thefinger:

ahahhaha mind telling me as i'm a bit slow ... but it does sound interesting :thefinger::biggrin:

waa change to redline already ... no break in ... all the way high revving :) seriously smooth ...

bout my exhaust ... mounting pecah daaaa .... settled for rm15 ... wakkakaka

i need to try this gearoil too...

i've just changed mine recently to Honda gear oil recommended by a fellow forummer, but i'm still experiencing slight crunches especially on 2nd gear....

gonna use this for a while since i just got it in a month ago...but will try Redline asap...

Also, quick question....for our gearboxes, they need to "inject" the gearoil in instead of pouring right?

im using Redline since my old civic.. but bear in mind that the gearbox will experience sludges build up in between gears since the oil is thicker than normal gear oil.

have try kaaz gearoil? i got from JC racing after they entertain me with that oil. Costing around RM200 or mabe can get cheaper. Gear changing and rev quite smooth after change
