need some idea from u guys here....
can any1 tell me tat what engine can tis car fill wif???
how bout skyline engine???

Its engine bay is huge, bigger than skyline and uses FR drivetrain. U can fit in Supra, Skyline or even V8 inside.

So, when r u planning to get one? .. are u getting RB20 or RB26 or a VQ30 series

or how bout tis???
im not sure yet....
do any1 noe 4 de prices 4 fillin enigne wif trade in???

Yeah, most older cars like Jaguar, Volvo and BMW's use japanese turbocharged engines as .. SR20DET, RB20DET from nissan or JZ series from toyota. Cause the body weight transfer from those cars are heavy and japanese engines are much more cheaper and easy maintenance :)

u must state u want great power with a lot of mod u can play with or just simply a turbo charged engine will do...it will be more easier...

i would retain the cars dynamics and upgrade the engine. the 240's have heaps of potential if done properly. by simply lumping in a japanese engine you throw out very important factors like safety and handling. Look at people like dave barton on google and you'd be suprised what the volvo can do. besides you will be original rather than dumping in a jap engine (no offence to those already done that) volvo parts are readily available in malaysia.

me best buddy has over the years completely restored and upgraded the 240GLT and i have to say it looks really good. To stop the car from being "bouncy" just pick up some sway bars from australia like he did for below rm400, change new springs and some 16" rims. granted, it is slightly harder to do up coz you'll end up doing most of the work to save cost as well but you'll love it. the GLT's are going for a song right now and perhaps with some careful budgeting you'll have a gem of a car. the volvo club is also very strong so in terms of support i think you;ll be ok.

hks-gt2835r--thats what i'm talking bout ;) beauty aint it? you running a GT turbine?

if i wanna own a GT-series turbine, that means there's shud be an auction @ ebay for my left kidney lol !

- Cheap 4 cylinder is SR20DET from NISSAN SILVIA
- Moderate 6 Cylinder is RB20DET from NISSAN SKYLINE
- Expensive 6 Cylinder is RB26DETT from NISSAN SKYLINE GTR
- Expensive 6 Cylinder is 2JZ Series from TOYOTA SUPRA
- Or Cheaper road tax on 13B Turbo RX-7 Engine, fuel consumption is very high .. ROTARY maaa....

i tot 2 get a GTR engine....
but if 2 expensiv den i cant afford it...
whats ur suggestion of my choices???

Unless you're dead set on doing a Jap transplant, I'll recommend you to put Volvo's own T5 engine.

You'll still have the originalness to it. And it can easily do 300bhp with just rechipping and tuning.
