my car got problem just now.

while driving, i wanted to shift from gear 3-4.
once i press the clutch,i can hear a loud snap.
suddenly the cluth die.
the sound came from the cluth pedal and the pedal straight lembik like sotong.
after inspection, found out its the Clutch Cable.
any idea how much to fix?takes how long?
Wira 1.3GL Carb.

thanks guys.

Hi bro, don't worry. It is just a cable snap i presume. I snapped mine last time twice. The cable cost me about RM20++ and DIY installation. It is not serious, no worries. :_:

wow, can even DIY?
good news. but i better get a mechanic since i need it asap.
will it take a long time to fix?

it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes for a trained mechanic to do it.

.......................is it a proton? My dads 24 year old skool till date hasnt experiencened snaped throttle cable.

an option to keep these hoses from snapping would be to purchase and install a steel/teflon braided clutch hose.

also supposed to be more accurate when depressing the clutch.

vagabond,it's not hydraulic,it's cable.only 1.6.1.8 n 2.0 comes with hydraulic.
