Actually, this question I have been asking myself and trying to figure out for quite some time...
What's the risk and difference between wrapping and painting the car?

I asked before once, the price of wrapping up the whole car and painting the whole car,
Is roughly the same price. I have heard, some sadistic people would take their
cigarettes and place it on your wrapped up body/sticker...gone! one hole was made
on the sticker...

So would painting actually be more practical? 1 thing I guess wrapping the car need
not being polish. So far, my conclusion, both has its pro and cons. :hmmmm2:

But this R35 of yours, is really stunning and nicely wrapped! Real mouth-watering...

The problem with wrapping is that if not done correctly or by the inexperienced, then you run the risk of it being seriously screwed-up. Furthermore, there wraps last about 4-5 years if I'm not mistaken but its 100% reversible should you grow bored of whatever colour you've chosen. Cost wise is on par with an average paint job but keep in mind that the vinyl stickers allow for greater creativity and experimentation with companies like 3M coming up with their 1080 range where you can use brushed aluminium, carbon fibre, etc alongside the conventional colour choices.

i picked a wrap for a few reasons

1. a wrap is temporary, i love my gun metal grey paintwork but just fancied a change for a couple of years.. when removed it will have no ill-effect on my paint (it actually protects it!) and will not affect my resale value like with respraying (especially since its a GTR!)

2. wrap is cheaper! to get a proper paint job in the UK costs a LOT more than a wrap, mainly because labour costs here are high and because of the number of hours taken it is much cheaper to get it wrapped..

3. way more colours available with wrapping
