I gotta agreed with you for the facts from JPJ.

JENIS-JENIS PERMOHONAN

Once you kena block, sure hafta pay the DATUK one. *Ish-Ish*

so thats why i choose 1.6liter 4ag lor.. later turbo charge it. The gze internal is good for 300hp as from what i heard.

i need something like 150rwhp on my KE70, so probably i'll try to get 210 - 220 hp at the flywheel. so not really a big prob, 12-13 psi enough.

if you watch drift bible you know that tsuchiya even drift with a 130hp ori 4ag, although he step on the pedal all the way lar.. so i think 4agte enough liau...

Good planning.

You not only need the engine, but you have to budget for the appropriate gearbox, rear axel, suspension, rim+tyre, and a lot more.

At least you need to prepare more than RM10K for that kind of mod.

yalor.. thats why need to do one thing at a time lor. get the frontcut or parts of the AE86, the old 4ag, its suspension and brake and the rear axle. Its already twice the power of the 4K engine. Should be enough to make me happy for a few years.

then afterthat can save money to get better parts lor, especially F series axle cuz more though than AE86's T series cuz wan to turbo charge. Just change the internal of the engine, or maybe the whole block to 4agze, but use back the old 4ag head, cuz water piping easier i think. Can sell the supercharger some more.

maybe wash the old 9.4:1 4ag piston and hang them in the house for decoration :P

wanna ask....is owning AE86 is a waste of time?Is there any AE86 owner that is really satisfy with the car after all the bugs have been eliminated? So far i heard many bought it due to its cult status end up selling it. Maybe for common folks but how abt enthusiast?

I know its expensive and needs a lot of work but im the kinda guy who likes owning something different and not common. Thinking of putting a 7AGZE in a AE86.

owning a AE86 is not cheap.. look at the condition before u buy.
18 years old car, bushing, chasis, paint.. everything going to change.. as a 2nd hand owner, u dont know the problem of the car and wut the pass owner done. alot of headache to find out the problem. even u may see alot of 012,013, telekom, celcom wiring pulling here and there just like u see road side telekom wiring ... lol that happen to my 86.
some time i dun even know why the celcom wiring will link to maxis.. air con idle up valve control by button.. hahaha..

well unless you want a track car or something or you are going to rebuild the whole car up from scratch (and just need that chasis) i guess if you have deep pockets and really want an 86 then i guess its okay

i dun have deep enough pockets so i stick with my KE70, still trying to find money for the mods

Yes thats what im talking abt. Take the cheapest AE86 u can find and dismantle it to build it up again. If THEORETICALLY I eliminate all the gremlins, would i have a good light sport compact?

IMO that would be posible if you ask some profesional to do it or yourself if you are a profesional... won't be posible with some average mech who is only good enough to fix rust on bodywork.

probably swap everything to performance part and just keep the stuff like chasis that got markings on it that the JPJ want to check.. but if its a track car who cares... ever read hondatuning.com and their crx project? rebuild up from scratch.. so i guess the same can be done with the hachiroku
