so theres a CEL even after you start up the engine? because in your picture the rev meter is at zero...

like hasukyo said, take it to a mechanic and check what the error code is for.

mb ur o'2 sensor gone...try check out with ur mechanic..just my experience..

i agree. the most common problem that causes a CEL is a faulty o2 sensor.

did u check ur engine oil level...
sometimes this could happen ...
o2 sensor very rare... since just bought..
my b18c until now runs no prob at all...... cheers

if as you says CEL still there and vtec open as normal most of the time was your O2 sensor
and you having sometime got power sometime not
you could check like this turn on your key CEL will off after 2-3 min the CEL come back again its will normally O2 sensor spoil
to confirm just plug in diagnostic machine/ hondata k-pro its could tell you everythings

the K o2 sensors are expensive but don't last that long. Get hondata and just by-pass them

yeah. the o2 sensors are a bitch if they need to be replaced.

and like DCloo said, if Vtec still engages normally then its most likely the secondary o2 sensor that has crapped out.

Replacing them is like a 5 minute thing. Easy, but they are RM500 a pop! used! and theres 2! So if both need replacing, thats RM1000! And then theres no warranty/gurantee they'll last...

Mun lee doesn't have them. Last time when i called they quoted me RM200 each, and they said they had 6/7 in stock... i was like "OK, i'll take them all" ... sampai-sampai, they were Stream o2 sensors! Small, cannot use!

Just go to any mechanic who has a diagnostic tool. See what error codes come out. P1166 and P1167 are the error codes for the o2 sensors. For others error codes just google or some diag tools will even display what the error codes are all about...

have you checked it yet? dont go out and buy a replacement if you havent checked whether thats the real problem.

RM500 is not spare change to throw around!!

Brand new O2 sensor for type R is Rm 1000 a piece, with warranty.....
