JPJ heightened Operations

MLOC members,

Pls. be advised that JPJ has stepped up their blocks & checks on vehicles.
Last night kena block while in KL pusat bandaraya near Jalan Raja Laut.
All routes blocked.

Basket! Ask questions like
JPJ: Bunyi engine ini lain macam aje :hmmmm:
Me: Engine ori Evo. 4g63 , 2.0
JPJ "betul ke?
Me: Betul
JPJ: Bukak bonet.
Me: *pop the hood*
JPJ: *looking at engine* ... original engine ke?
Me: Ori lah (beats me how they wan to tell if the engine 2.2ke, 2.0 ke just by looking at the engine. Then again whether they know the difference of an Evo engine bay)
JPJ: *another JPJ comes over & ketuks with his hand the custom air filter cover*
Me: Encik ... tu stainless steel. Kalau ketuk nanti, tangan luka i tak tahu ye.
JPJ: Lampu HID ni menyilau
Me: Menyilau ke jalan. Kalau macam tu, kreta mewah semua skarang keluar dgn. lampu HID. Salah ke?
JPJ: (no answer)
JPJ: Tekan minyak. Nak dengar ekzos
Me: *tekan*
JPJ: Never say anything but put down on the JPJ letter to go JPJ vehicle check.
Me: Ada surat JPJ.
JPJ: Ok. boleh bawa surat JPJ sama-sama pergi bila bawa kreta untuk periksa.


So now, i have to bring my car by the 04th Feb for checks.
Probably pasasng balik the silencer & tukar balik the original headlamps.

Wondering if a 4k HID can lepas. Currently using the 12k HID.

Any MLOC members knw of any "lobangs in JPJ" in Malacca, KL or JB? PM me la ...

goverment alway's like that ...they can pasang hid in their car but NORMAL ppl cann't do that. except u got nice CAR wif NICE number then no problem at all....hahahahah

Ho, any JPJ Puspakom in Malaysia for check.

Sum more my HID pointing down on the road la with my suspension set-up & when i fitted them, i angled them so that they pointed to the road rather than blinding the car ahead/oncoming.
JPJ say "menyilau". U knw what the officer did? He kneeled in front of the lamps & stared at not more than 25 cm from the lights ... then say menyilau.... WTF!!

Same with my exhaust ... (thinking back should have just revved when he & his partner was doing that)

I ask him if "menyilau" then those high end cars all menyilau what ...

"oh, tu original" ?? :hmmmm: WTF is the different original HID & aftermarket HID ... both also silau what ...

I went up on Friday night la.. Supposed to go on Saturday morning but then friend say want to balik KL so i give tumpang la...

Basket!! Kena speed trap (in NS) & JPJ (KL) ... in 1 night la .... mesti pergi buang sway la!!

But the speed trap one kow tim already .... (less than "kopi").

Only now left the JPJ punya....

Ok, will call u when i get back South ...

Btw, heard from friends, relatives & family members around Malaysia that JPJ stepping up their checks on vehicles ....

Well, that's what the good for lor... Samans .... tangkap criminal dunno ... buat road block number 1. Apparently many new JPJ officers has been recruited ... (does the JPJ have a new Ketua Pengarah? ... maybe want to score points kot)

Ada ke kat Melaka, they even harrassing senior citizens yang pakai motorbike ... tanya ini & itu ...

agreed. While i was there at the side of the road, saw a few wiras with the exhaust system modded... tak kena also..

But the one i cannot tahan is ask me to 'pop' my hood & ask if engine original .... like the fellas damn expert in automative field ...
Sum more his colleague can say "bunyi engine lain macam je" ... of coz la ... never heard of tuning ke?

Now i know why i turned my back on the government back since 1991 when a series of interview questions during JPA scholarship pissed me off ... but that's another story ...

yes 4k can lepas, make sure u point the beam lower cow2..u dont need "lobang in JPJ" if u dont do anything wrong...

about 4 months ago, i kena road block polis (not JPJ), saying "lampu putih ni illegal",
i argued said "original".
he said "buka bonnet".
after buka bonnet, he pointed at my ballast with torch light.

i told him, "ini ballast untuk sport light, low beam lampu putih original."
my sport light was not on at that time.

then he just let me go la... but that was police who not so pro in troubling ppl in technical issue.

what's in my mind was ... if he still not satisfied, i would unplug the ballast and turn on the low beam to show him. and i would tell him HID Sport light is to go genting or kelantan highway use.

if he insisted on issue a saman, i was going to ask him to write there "original" lampu putih, and i would sign the saman..

probably that time i was very tulan, or else... give him agong face and settle la..

huh? i didnt know JPJ is so strict to cars like evo. Tot of doing second layer of tinting to my evo b4 cny as llumar tinting not dark enuff. (Just like not tinted). Anyone tried second layer of tinting on llumar?

Anyway hv to think twice b4 tinting now...sigh
