Hello guys,

I have a bit of uncertainty regarding a rim swap for my FD2r..

I would like to change the stock (18x7.5j offset 60)

Im thinking about ssr type f, advan rz, ce28n or enkei rpf1 (18 x 8.5j offset:?)

The question is:
1.What would be the best offset for the rims?

2.Does the offset play a major role for the handling and gripping?

3.Any suggestion from the sifu's?

Thank you in advance:driver:

I have a friend who is selling his Type F 18 x 8.5 offset 48.

As for your questions:

I had doubts before I switched to an SSR Type C, about the offset. But then an engineering friend of mine told me it's only an 12mm difference (offset 48), which is extremely little. So it will be unnoticeable.

Offset depends on how u want it, I've personally seen the Type F on my friend's car and it looks extremely good. Doesn't bulge out, sits nicely especially with the 8.5 inch width.

If you are interested in his rim, please PM me, it's hardly used.

Reason for sale: Owner changed to another set of rim, rich guy

redridinghood86: his Type F 18 x 8.5 offset 48. still available? he3...
i'm searching for that and suitable rims for fd2r..

Most of the time FDs can survive offsets lower than 40. I think would best to stick to offsets > 45 if using 8.5JJ running 235/40R18.
