i am lost at what is going on with the car. last night i was out with my mate and we set off to race when i change my gears 1st to 2nd the car had high rev but not much speed on it and i had to change to 3rd gear fast:banghead:. when i was finish i could of smelled my clutch burning. when i was goin home i decide to change my 1st to 2nd slow then i press down on gas the car did not had the problem. and i now got my gearbox rebuild and clutch change
i would really like help here

if your car runs okay, why need a g/box rebuild? probably just the clutch got overheated thats all.. take care of your car, save your wallet from losing weight.
 
your clutch has worn out time to change. no need gbox rebuild.
 
it a 94 lancer with a 4g91 engine
my gearbox had to be rebuild because of the bearing inside was bad
just wanted to know if it would be best to change my clutch to a stage clutch

Depends on how you drive your car. If you enjoy racing with your friends, ya, then probably you would want some better clutch, if you daily drive it, ya then just a standard clutch will do.
 
Clutch plate slipping, that is why burnt smell. Racing clutch will be heavy on the foot....
 
if want grip like 4 puck but pedal soft like std then go for super single

hi bro, what clutchkit are you using currently - since you mentioned your clutch was replaced not to long ago... hopefully its not Exedy HeavyDuty.
