maybe is your smt ecu got problem~~~~~~ u is 5 speed or 6 speed ? and your smt oil pump is how many kilo meter change smt oil ? u open door time the smt pump got run or not? or the smt pump run time sound like jam ?

mine also like that one, sometimes. i thought that is normal. I have to wait for the rpm to drop lower before the reverse gear kicks in.

a got a call from JB friend and gimme some tip on smt.,.,
i dunno have to wait smt pump when open door.,.,.
now i know.,., seem ok now.,., so far so good.,.,.,

1198 & terrylok, just top up with SMT oil.

Sequential M/T fluid (part number :08886-02206)

alot of workshop only use brake fluid or they think its ok. but...

Failures of SMT are usually;
1) Accelerator Position Sensor failure
2) Pumps, accumulators go bad and/or spring leak. HPU (Hydraulic Pump Unit)
3) Other sensors or switches can go bad, or the contacts on a switch can get dirty
4) Wiring or TCU -- wiring can go bad -- loose connection, dirty contacts.
5) Relearn needed -- change a clutch, etc -- the TCU may need to relearn the base sensor position readings. Best is to go to a dealer and ask they initiate a relearn using the OBB-II diagnostic tool.
