Guys
I think it will be a good idea to start a thread for future members.
I get the ball rolling.

UK model standard factory tuned to run Ron 91
Malaysia model standard factory tuned to run Ron 95.
Japan model standard factory tuned to run Ron 100

Is there a difference in the performance between the 3 models?.
We have all three model sold in Malaysia......:proud:

Im driving a UK spec is250, performance wise no problem to overtake 523 on highway

---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- 6 hour anti-bump limit - Previous post was at 09:18 PM ----------

Anyone able to get GPS DVD from malaysia spec ?

I think the better comparsion would be the Beemer 325I in terms of size and weight to power ratio.

if u know anyone from Lexus Malaysia, or whoever driving CT200h that come with GPS, or whoever driving local specs Lexus that come with GPS, then can borrow the disc from them, and burn a copy to try. I been looking for it since last year, If really happen to get a copy of the disc, pls pls share wif us,:biggrin:

I've been running RON95 on a Japan Spec for 3 months, without any problem.

Anyone can tell what kind of maintenance should be doing for my case?

for me,

i'm running HKS fully syn - so change black oil every 10K - but i don't reach that mileage. so i change oil every 5 months (6 months should be limit)

major service at 60K km. - so just make sure you follow the recomended intervals.

i believe toyota/lexus will tune the car differently depending on the fuel being used in diff regions.

meaning they will probably have more fuel maps in the ECU itself to accomodate the decrease in RON

like ed said, japan spec can run on ron95 with no issues. uk spec can run on ron 91 minimum. hence all is250 in msia should be able to run on ron95 with no issues.

this is good info.
