Engines for Citroen ZX

Hi all sifus & veterans,

My ZX 2.0i, it's gearbox, suspensions, drive shaft, finally all kaput. Thinking of few ways to revived it back. They are:-

1) Halfcuts for ZX? Heard 306 is the most compatible for ZX. 306 got 2.0L manual? if yes, how much?
2) Transplant Jap's engines? is it hassle? i mean JPJ/Puspakom side.
3) Repair whole thing back but all from new&used parts.
