EG9 headlamp bulb replacement...

hi guys,

my question is simple..Honda EG9 recond headlamp bulb use what type of bulb?
definitely it's not H4,H7,Hb4,etc or others like the local made eg headlamp bulb...coz I've
compare those bulb with mine...not same

been asking around sparepart shops,mechanics but none can give me the correct answer !...
I wanted to replace my headlamp bulb with brighter one like Philips Weather vision or Extreme
bright or Osram Silaverstar...don't want the HID... u know la EG headlamp not so bright like
EK and others...

please help me to get the answer ...if u have one please state where I could buy....

as far as i can recall, 92-95 original eg9 ferio uses H4 bulbs.

well the cheaper way to brighten it is just to add some small spotlights on the bumper, that is if your original EG9 doest not come with the optional bumper lights.

Here are difference of H4 (left) and H4H (right), H4H is longer.

my eg9 use H7 bulb...demm expensive this H7 bulb...spare part sell H4 bulb only rm10...H7 rm35...spare part tell me if honda eg recon use H7 bulb...local spec H4 bulb...

thanks hikaru..your picture H4H match with my bulb when I compare the pictures..but the 'lekuk' is the near the left 'kaki'..but mine is the right hand side...can consider H4H also ka?

I don't know, could be angle of photo. Anyway, you already hit the jackpot so why don't you start looking for H4H bulbs?

I've search few places...no H4H for philips visionplus / Xtreme power or Osram Silverstar...

if not mistaken it was special made size. does not remember either H3 or H4.
I bought at spare part shop. cost me RM120/pair.

eg9 bulb not same as EJ bulb. that for sure.

sell off your entire jdm headlamp and get the local one which is glass and won't fade when using higher wattage bulbs...i think...

nope,i gotta disagree w dat.i purchase a pair of headlamp 4 my 1989 CRX frm Mun Lee,Puchong.they came w 1 PIAA bulb n d other is a ZEAL unit.altho its still rated @ 55W,d brightness is much better compared 2 d usual STANLEY type.only recently my PIAA went bust.
if i remember correctly,i saw sum higher performance H4H bulbs being sold in ENEOS,1 Utama.i'll try 2 look 4 it again if i'm in Klang Valley

actually u have to scout the accessory shops when ure free. either its from raybrig or polarg if ure lucky they'll bring h4h. i just recalled my bro is using raybrig h4h. not cheap tho.

but then again, give LHS a call. it could be a lot cheaper for a replacement bulb.

true...LHS can get u almost anythg 4 Honda.....but since is busted n i still haf d std Stanley item,i'd rather scout 4 better aftermarket bulbs like Philips or Raybrig.dis Polarg u mentioned,sounds familiar.....i remember they supposed 2 come out w sum sort of booster dat look like HID ballasts,right?...roughly how much ur bro got d Raybrig H4H?n wat kaler is d beam?
