Dear MyVi Owners,
Does any of your car feels as if the cabin heats up pretty fast ? MY car is about 5yrs already and ever since day 1 the the cabin the car can get pretty hot. Does anyone get this problem ? I was informed that it could be the myvi exhaust which is causing the heat however to concrete evidence. A few weeks ago my parents was sitted behind and they said there could smell burning smell. They also said that the seat behind the driver has hot air venting in as well as the seat getting warm. If anyone has any advise please do share. Thanks

Cheers
:adore:

agreed...the place where the body near to exhaust sure have some sort of heat insulation...if u feel heat near exhaust area thru body and even thru the seat...better faster send for checkup...

yea...or sometimes there are some uncovered holes. For instance, after sending your car for a claim (if u've met an accident), or some accessory fella nvr cover back the seals properly.

Better check your undercarriage insulation, exhaust...and go to P2 first..if it does not help only DIY

Heya guys,

When I got my car I complained about it b4, they took the car back for 2 days to seal up the car again. However over time I believe the problem has reoccurred. Also I have not continued my service from P2 after the 1st year. Any heads up ?? Thanks again..

Cheers

could be the heat insulation glue wear off n drop off while u driving thats y it re-occur...dunno if u can use superlon to DIY insulate yrself...better check first if superlon can take the heat since different car exhaust heat at the outlet different temp...

Any other suggestions ? My fear is Perodua is unsure how to fix this problem and will just reseal the car. I doubt this is the solution on why there is so much heat going into the cabin. = /

Bro i dont drive a perodua but maybe your problem is due to bad AC? perhaps or if its not that kinda heat get the car inspected cause it could be dude to your exhaust system and that freakin dangerous! Get the car inspected man, and if your worried perodua cant fix the problem take it to a professional workshop.

Good luck on this problem

just checked my car at a mech, pulled the insulation off the read seats and can see burnt marks on it = ((( he says he didt know it was so severe for the 1st batch myvi and also rare occurrence. Changed my exhaust and now am hoping the problem will be gone. = / Will update after a few days of trial runs.

thanks guys..
but let drive it for a week and see how it goes coz if the seat continues to heat up will have to rethink on a solution or sell off the car = ((
