Helo all,

For some time now, I've been planning to get me the BC P1 racing SF wheels. Set of nu one.

Luckily there's a local dealer now in town. But they don't keep stock for customer to see. With 50% deposit & u'll receive the wheels in 3 weeks time.

After browsing the net, I'm not sure (maybe I missed something somewhere) wheather the model is made in Japan or not. In an oversea-based forum, they said the BC P1 racing SF IS NOT MADE IN JAPAN BUT TAIWAN. The BC P1 racing QF is made is made in Japan.

To my curiousity, I gave the local dealer a call. The first guy on the other line quoted me RM 2.6K for that model & told me that he have to re-check on whether it's made in Japan or other country. But never get back to me.

The second guy respond to me via e-mail :

" Hi Acik,

Good day,the told me is made from Japan. So I can`t say they made in taiwan ,this is their company policy. They wont simply tell people where the wheel made from.Besude,a lot of imitation brand in this market.Hope you understand. The quotation for SF RM 2,904 is sending by flight not ship .So the cost more expensive."

Does that make sense? "..this is their company policy. They wont simply tell people where the wheel made from.". The dealer themself can't confirm the origin of the item? Besides the increasement in cost (first guy quoted me RM 2.6K & the second quoated me RM 2.9K. In two weeks, the price up by RM 300?) I don't beleive the manufacturer don't want customer/users to know where their goods are made from. do u?

Or the second guy is still applying the old trick to con customers. That is not right man. That was just wrong. Maybe I'll drop by the shop & tell him/ them to his/their face(s)

Does anybody here knows where is the origin of BC P1 racing SF 16"x7jx42,4x100 from?

Thax forumers/ experts. Appreciate it.

Cheers
Acik

Helo all,

I suggest to playsafe, it is easier if U buy used one from a chop shop or of cos thru the internet. And always practice COD, it secures buyer. I used to own Kosei K1, Buddy Club P1 Racing, and Buddy Club P1 Racing Spec 2. FYI all got chop "made in Japan". I never got the chance to own any QF or SF.

that's y i'm looking for 16" wheels. & trying to figure what is the suitable offset for my satria 1.6. any suggestion on the wheels offset?

btw, which area of chop shop that u can suggest to me to look for 2nd/ recond wheels? it would be great if i can save some rm though.

thanx again. cheers.

I doubt U can save RM alot since market price of used Japan rim are quite subjective. Some discontinued models can even reach prices as sky high. U can start with Mun Lee Puchong.

hi wanggot,

thanx again. mun lee puchong? the big chop shop? 5 years ago, they r my favourite location to look for/buy stuff. they r well established now & but the service is degrading - impolite pr. enough saying about them anymore. i'm not trying to sabo them but i've been there (& few calls) recently. not like 5 years ago.

cheers.

p/s: sorry if anybody is related to them. to me, they have some ssues.

Yup, should be made known. Those who hide means must be from places unknown, or not known for quality....
