Audi A6 aircond problem

Hello dear forumers.I'm aiman from terengganu,just bought an audi a6 2.6 v6. the car is very good condition except for the aircond. FYI, The car equipped with electronic aircond panel. the LCD was not showing any display but the blower is running right away when starting the engine. what is the problem? what should i replace? let say if the digital controller went south,how much is it to replace..Please help.

Hi, i am having the same ride as yours~mine is year 1997~

i got the same problem but repaired by Mr. Alex at Ever Auto S/B,call him at this number 016 220 4384.

He is in Selangor but i think he can help you to solve your problem through phone.

I got no idea how he fixed mine but he is a good Audi specialist~

aiman is it running continuously or just a short run when u turn on the ignition? Mine is also doing that and that's normal as its a test check.

the problem is, it runs continously, i cant control the blower speed and the desired temperature. my concern is, if it continues behaving like this,the batery life would be shorter..some one said that the ecu need to be reset,then the aircond will be ok..really dont understand this car la..

do u know how to reset ECU? The car is a nice car. Its just that you are not familiar yet. To reset the ECU please unbolt the car battery, wait for 5 minutes then reconnect. Happy trying.

by doing that(resetting by disconect battery),is there any effect on the settings such as throttle response,gearchange and overall performance?

not that I know off....it basically resets everything back to factory, by the way I have a friend who wants to sell his Quattro. Would u be interest to buy one for spares?

what year is that quattro? if money no-object yes but ive some experience on buying old car for spares and end up with no part worth to be re-use back.btw, how much the price and condition? i would like to have part by part as needed and currently i only need steering rack for quattro.

all the problem solved. sent the car to electronic specialist,the climatronic still can be use and the air cond runs very well with full control.
