SIlvertop around RM600, Blacktop around RM800. Go for blacktop right away, it work fine with ur silvertop wiring.

In my opinion, just get blacktop 20V engine together with 4 throttle (Will cost abit high something around : RM1000-1200)and drop it in. Total cost with labour cost maybe around RM1600 +/-.

If rebuild, just the part alone close to 2K already(include metal head gasket, good set of bearing and piston ring), labour cost more then 1K, plus this n that...maybe need 3.5K.
But definately got cheaper way to rebuild. But u'll get fresh engine.

SVT Mine's ecu can use in BT if just change the engine (engine "kosong")?? AFM vs MAPS still can use the same MINE'S ECU (SVT)? or the MINE'S Ecu (SVT) actually for theese 2 engines (SVT&BT together)?

ur words are very confusing..

to what i understand..

yes.. if u juz change to engine kosong, thus maintaining AFM, then u can use ur silvertop ecu. TOM's or Mine's... take ur pick.

Clement > i also recommend u get engine kosong...:) if the seller agree to give u warranty better lor... mana tahu bearing kong..hahahhaha

sorry for the executive summary question before..hahah...but i think u get u got it rite... i understand what ure trying to say bro banzai... if i just change the engine w/o throttle body still can use the SVT ecu....ok ok understood..thanks bro

Instead of the price of engine ksong and labour cost, don't forget about the cost for the puspakom and JPJ, it just remind some of my bad memories recently. Anyway, if your silvertop condition really so bad, just go ahead for a BT transplant.

i see. thats is what i worried la. later buy engine kosong this kong that kong. hahah.
about the jpj stuff i dont think its a big issue there. when i convert my engine before my car dont even have to go puspakom coz they told me my conversion is frm 1.6(stock) to 1.6(20v). still within the same cc. what i did was brought my garrant n the engine letter then they chop n sign. pay RM65 bucks only. but that was about i think almost 3 yrs ago la, any1 just converted thier car lately? frm 1.6 to 1.6? what do i gotta do with this jpj fella?
really think that my engine are dying. hopefully can last till the next r3 time attack. hahahah

Puspakom and JPJ? if do it urself, just need RM40.
Many don't know the right way to do it and just throw everything to runner end up with few hundred ringgit.

That's why I say it remind of my bad memories recently. Actually I just went to Puspakom & JPJ last 2 weeks ago for my SE convertion from 1.5 to 1.6 (before that I did the JPJ documentation in Putrajaya by myself, it easy and FOC), I failed 2times in Puspakom due to brake issues, there say it lower than the spec of minimum 50 reading bla...bla..., wasted me RM70 (RM45 for first inspection follow by RM25 for 2nd inspection) and 2 day company leave. So, I ended up with a runner to "gau dim" for me (my mechanic's friend, still not yet count with me:emoticon_U: ).
Then following week I go personnaly to JPJ, tried to update the grarrant by myself since I thought it should be the easiest way to do so. Well, you know what, you need to refill up all the stupid application forms again, need a guarantor, original owner IC (since it's my wife's car) bla...bla... At first I took a ticket numbering, but when I sat down to wait for my turn, I knew the turn will never come to me because I know the numbering ticket is to "show" only, you can see all the counter are only serve those runner, they don't even need to queue up and straight to the counter with the first priority. I sat there for almost an hour, my number is "798" but the number for the paast 1 hour is just jumpin from 700 to 702. Then, since I knew I need a guarantor and I didn't prepare most of the infomation and documentation, finally I have to surrender and gave RM100+ to the runner to settle it, because I don't want to waste another company leave again, hai.......
Well, maybe this is because I'm so inexperience to do this thing, so if you know all the "lubang" and friend can do this easily and cheaply for you, you should have better faith then me.

bro chi, engine matter i might not as good as u...
and i dont know how come u face so much issue of this. runner need to get ur ic to commision of oath to certified all ur document b4 then can do for u. if ur wife car, why not just bring her or just bring her original ic. owne do transfer ownership only 1 hour with RM100, and runner do will cost u RM380 and 3 days. which one u choose? hehehe. next time can discuss in ZTH b4 go to JPJ or puspakor. last time i was driving WIRA 1.5, converted to 1.6, went to Puspakom my self, only RM35-40, then JPJ is free. just stamp and write in the new engine number. owner got privilages in JPJ wan. unless ur car cannot be approve in a proper way, maybe u put in 3.0 cc engine or cut and join, in this case u need those runner to do it for u. even i heard some runner can transfer ownership of a person who passaway also. amazinhg rite?

in future still need ur help on AE's engine.. hehehe.
