The Nissan R35 GT-R is almost a perfect all-rounder that serves the purpose of its existence very well. Performing with amazing performance on the circuit and the streets, the “supercar killer” moniker given to this machine is no joke as it is indeed a rocket ship on wheels.
However, the high expectations the R35 received before it rolled out from the factory lines would not have existed if the previous GT-Rs were not blisteringly quick as well. The GT-Rs have well established themselves in being a fearsome machine, especially with the R34 which was the last Skyline to bear the coveted ‘GT-R’ badge.
With that in mind, AutoExpress was wondering if these two amazing cars were to meet each other on a track, who will be the fastest? Naturally the answer would be the R35 since it has way more power than the R34 and the all-wheel drive system has been refined ever since. But probably the proper question would be how far can the R35 leave its older brother behind?
With 276-horsepower coming out from the 2.6-liter twin turbocharged inline-six engine, the R34 will be going against the 45th Anniversary Limited Edition R35 which has 542-horsepower from the 3.8-liter twin turbo V6.
