Also as a part of Gran Turismo’s 15th anniversary, Toyota had finally taken the covers off the new FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo Concept. This new concept is an evolution of the FT-1 Vision unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, with the latter version being a meaner, track-focused of the road going concept.
With designs derived from the legendary Supra, it is said that the Future Toyota-1 Concept has a conventional combustion engine instead of a hybrid drivetrain that we see a lot today. However, it’s too bad that officials would not reveal the specific output of the car, and only quoting that it has a “high output”.
Turning it into a serious racer, the standard FT-1 was given wider wheel arches with larger tires underneath, massive air intakes, a huge rear wing and additional aerodynamic bodywork for more downforce which includes a new rear diffuser.
Both the FT-1 Vision and the FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo will be available for download in the Gran Turismo 6 game from September.
