Our avid readers might remember that we recently covered Bimmerfest Malaysia 2013 late last year where the event was set to gather over 500 of these Bavarian marques together in Putrajaya to break the record for the largest gathering. Sadly, they did not manage to beat the record; however this time round, the BMW community is set for a second attempt at this record breaking gathering with a little twist…

Manjung Bimmers – a club of BMW owners and enthusiasts in the little town on the north coast of Malaysia will be organising a charity gathering at the end of the month to aid the less fortunate alongside with Malaysia’s BMW community. The event will be held at Dataran Hadhari in Teluk Batik, Lumut and set to gather around a tentative target of 600 iterations of BMWs, making it the largest BMW gathering in Malaysia to ever be held.

Other than the display of these exquisite marques, the gathering will also feature other events and activities alongside like “Sukan Rakyat” and car tug of war which sounds absolutely interesting. With the intention to tie two cars together and accelerate in the opposite direction, the car tug of war should bring a rather amusing attraction to the event.

The event is set to be called – ‘Manjung Bimmerfest Amal Malaysia’ with a theme of ‘The Legendary Bimmer Wars’, and majority of the club members have dressed up their cars in camouflage format in retrospective of the upcoming event.

The home that will benefit from this said effort will be Persatuan Insan Masalah Intelek Perak, a nursing home that caters to those with down syndrome and as of now, are taking care of over 300 students within the state of Perak.

The event is set to be held on the 29th of March, 2014 in Teluk Batik, Perak and we urge those who are within the vicinity of the area to not miss out on this event. A second opportunity to make the record breaking gathering does not come always, and this event might be the marking of the history for the BMW community in Malaysia. We wish the organisers and to those involved the best of wishes and good luck for this upcoming event.
