The Korean auto manufacturers are stepping up the game in being one of the top players in the auto industry, and they are seeing no problems in having a collaboration between them. Working together to not be left behind from the competition is Hyundai and Kia with the aim of developing a new turbocharged V6 engine.
With a displacement of 3.0-liters, this jointly developed engine is said to be featuring direct fuel injection and a couple more add-ons like fuel efficiency and power-enhancements. With that, the power output might be in the 350-horsepower range when fitted in the next-generation Hyundai Genesis. But for the time being, they have not released whether it is the coupe or the sedan that is getting this turbocharged power plant, but the logical choice would definitely be the much sportier two-door coupe.
The current Genesis Coupe in the market houses a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 348-horsepower in its disposal and 295 lb-ft of torque. Those figures are already an impressive set of numbers which could jump the car from 0-100 in less than 6 seconds. Add on a turbocharger onto this speedy coupe, it could probably be the next hot machine coming out from the Korean auto manufacturer.
