go to trial or vision to check la. but after about 10years, the old A605E transmission should be leaking. this is normal wear n tear. replace the seals n u should be fine

cant say much....what green said is correct.

It is common for A650E to leak after 10 to 12 years. Change the seals and drive.

I remember that toyota dont have gasket for it so is just use sealant to act as a gasket

cheers

ahaa..im not staying in kl. so i cant simply go to trial and check. workshop here (pasir gudang) dont know much about altezza.

much appreciate ur input guys.

so, is it confirm no gasket? if yes i can tell my mechanic to just use the sealant.

//if there is a gasket, im prety sure it will not be available here (based on past experienced). thats y i ask for costing too.

the gasket part no however start with A340..compatible from other gearbox maybe?

Yup, confirm no gasket. Mine had the leak as well, went to trial and they used the toyota sealant. No worries after that.

seems like quite many unit had/have this problem after years of wear and tear.

mine also, but i have not fix yet cos not might need to leave the car there (no other transport for me if i do so..sigh...), recommended to use the pinky-tube gasket sealant.

how about the filter? is it magnet type? i have no idea how it look like.

I replaced my filter as well, I dont think its magnetic, its screwed on and its costs about RM300

if you realise that it do have magnet at the pan , ard 5 to 6 pcs square want and is small

if we look at the picture attached above, the filter look like a plat with magnet. :hmmmm:

Yeah, looks like that.
But the portion on the extreme left of the plate in the pic which I am assuming that looks like the magnet is the opening (filter entry/exit - if I remember correctly).
The magnets that Stepwyew mentioned is on the pan itself.

Welcome nahuk to the forum...good to see you here to share your experience with the rest of us..:itsme:

Mokh...it is confirm that our gear box have no gasket available as parts. A good and experience mechanic will be needed otherwise it will leak again. As the sealant gasket are apply by the mechanic, a good and thorough cleaning of the pan and gearbox is needed.

As of my knowledge, so far Trial Tuning have proven track record on the repair of the oil pan for gearbox.

It's confirm there's no gasket for our gearbox on our car...Previously i changed new oil pan,new filter, new drain screw plugs. It's only glue to seal the oilpan to the gearbox. It might not be the sealant gasket after all, might be the leak from ur gearbox itself. Go get it check out 1st to confirm the leak.

I didn't do mine at Trial, did it in Subang USJ.

thank you to all for your very constructive reply. learnt somthing and appreciate that. :driver:
