Best fuel for Skylines?

as i know all the feul at our country can use all type of car..92 super, unleaded 95.vpower97..no gonna have knocking or damage engine.problem for the std ecu..if u already adding a ems or piggy bag..n refresh the ecu..just depent of the map the tuner is tuning for....:burnout:

Do u mean that our ecu will self adjust itself to suit a certain octane fuel?

Fifth Gear did a test with Octane Boosters and you actually lose power when dynoed. STP was one of the product tested.

Aiya ya...   Which means to say it's waste of money then......

Bump:

No...no...no... The OEM ECU is that smart...not even after market's ECU are that smart either. They all need to reset or retune in order to accept/work well with the current octane level in this country. Actually, if you are not driving those "high" performance machine, I don't think you can even notice any power lost at it, caused by the time you drive out the dealer lot, you already filled in the local fuel octane level....

oh, so that means RON 95 would be a No No for GTRs loh?! oh well, guess we have once again became the victim of our government's implementation to put more money to their own pockets.

That's Malaysia for you. Sux ain't it?

guys,

my experience tell me RON97 is enough and V-Power does play a rather vast different when it comes to tuning the engine. Tuner and hardware also play important roles.

893 WHP with 2.7litre JUN running T88H back then, with V-Power. No fuel additive though. Ex-temp is low enough to take 1.9~2.0bar.
The engine lasted me around 4 races which the conrod bearing eventually gave way.:nurse:

Bro if difference only 20sen per litre, how long before all that saving can add up to the price of a GTR tuning/parts????? 10 yrs ar?

You never know bro..there are all kind of people in this world and no one can really tell what is in their mind....
