Hope you guys can help.

Can anyone tell me where i can find a mugen power v2 airbox for DC2 (2door) / DB8 (4 door) Integra?? I'm going to be around KL area so would be great if i can find a place nearby. Perhaps someone in Sunway have this part?? I don't mind buying online either if i have to do so. 1 brand new mugen v2 intake in NZ here = to 2 brand new mugen v2 intake in malaysia so i can't justify why i have to buy one here.

I'm not looking at anything else as i have spoon at the moment and its pretty good but i want the whole JDM look on the car.

I'm also looking for a power FC with handheld controller.

Would be great to hear from you guys where i can get it as i haven't been back to malaysia for a long time!!

The mugen airbox is easy to find. A few h/cut shops has them. It all differs in condition and price.

Power FC with the handheld controller is also easy to find new.

The only problem is that there doesn't seem to be a power FC with OBD-2b harness. I assume that you're on OBD-1, so that's not an issue then.

I'm wondering how you're planning to tune them, because the handheld controller IMO is only for fine tuning, and hardly suited for actual tuning work.. There's supposed to be a harness (sold seperately) so you can do it through a laptop, then fine tune with the commander unit.

for the mugen airbox you can try JC(amoil) at sunway. brand new or used, ask jacky.

for the power fc for obd2, try N1 racing (sunway) or ss racing (old klang road). i have seen a brand new for obd2 in n1. not sure if its still in the shelf.

shiroi,
since the chap is from new zealand, prolly he doesnt have to worry abt tuning when they have good power fc tuners there. if he decides to tune himself, new zealand has fc datalogit to help him, also in new zealand. brilliant innit? heh

Thanks for the feedback guys. Grealy appreciated. Im pretty sure my car is an OBD1 since it is a 99 Integra Type R. and im sure only DC5R is obd2. Correct me if im wrong :P Thanks guys will be going to sunway to look for it :P

Yeah, still there. but OBD2a harness only available.

Hahaha.. our modding scene very pitiful.. (>.<).. Anyway, who knows? Some are DIYer too. :P

JDM DC2R and EK9R are running on OBD2 ecus.

Not familiar with integras, but EK9R has two obd2 standards.

The OBD-2a and The OBD-2b. Which somehow, when you try plonking in a power FC with a OBD2a harness into an OBD-2b, the checklight will light up.

I'm sure it can be managed, but I have no references of the real life items right now to find out, and the fella that did it forgot what codes it threw.

ah yeah speaking of which.

plug out the ecu and check it for good. no point assuming.

ECU Identification

get a conversion harness for the power fc if its a obd2b.

ps. as far as i know the 00-onwards model are obd2b. but some say the 99-onwards are ob2b already. prolly the mix with the USDM that made this confusion le.

Hmm will check it out this coming weekend or so. Will i have problems with honda s300?? Might be easiear..

theres nothing wrong with hondata. since ure in NZ, take the opportunity since hondata originated from there. its all about personal preference, budget and tuner friendly. i would personally rate hondata and power fc to be top of the line EMSs for honda.

As hattech said.. OBD1 requirement for hondata S300. You need a conversion harness for if you're running OBD-2a/b harnesses.
