To become a supercar manufacturer and challenge big names like Ferrari and Lamborghini is no easy feat, but a small company in Denmark managed to overcome the odds and came out with the stunningly-looking Zenvo ST1. But getting them produced is just the first step of the game as they would have to make sure that the car holds up when it is put under tremendous stress.
At the recent Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix in Denmark, Zenvo brought down their ST1 and joined in a parade lap which saw cars like the Porsche GT3 and Ferrari F12 running together. We are not sure how many laps the ST1 did in the parade lap but as it was exiting a corner and into a straight, the car suddenly bursts into flames and immediately came into a halt.
As smoke poured out from various parts of the car, the driver made a quick exit and waved for help to extinguish the flames from engulfing the Danish supercar. Fortunately for him, the track marshals were quick to put out the flames and the entire situation was over in less than a minute. But that was more than enough to leave the car with some charred marks and a worser rep for Zenvo.
We are pretty sure some of you can recall the similar incident at Top Gear where the Zenvo ST1 Jeremy was testing also went out in a similar fashion. Reports are saying that this was also caused by a clutch failure, but updated reports suggest that a fuel line was at fault for this blaze. Whatever the cause it may be, Zenvo has a lot to do to regain the confidence of their potential customers if they were to sell another supercar again.
