Sometimes when exotic cars are being given a makeover by some aftermarket bodykit makers, they tend to go overboard and in the end ruin the whole look. But the guys from Prior Design are not those that fall under those categories and their take on the new Mercedes-AMG GT had certainly given the SLS successor a new breath of life.
Not to say that the AMG GT does not look stunning, but it does seem to lack that ‘aggressive’ feel. Prior Design saw the opportunity and immediately went to work to give the AMG GT a bit more character to match its potential which usually hides in plain sight.
The widebody treatment also includes giving the AMG GT a new front lip spoiler, air intake surrounds and canards as well. Aside from the aerodynamic side skirts, the look is finished with the ventilated hood, extended fenders, and a diffuser and spoiler in the rear.
Since this is mainly a styling package, the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine remains the same where it produces 510PS and 479 lb-ft of torque. Zerotohundred is dealt in 3.8 seconds and it has an electronically-limited top speed of 310km/h.
