Another concept that is set to debut in the upcoming Paris Motor Show is one from Infiniti, and no, it is not another crossover. In fact, the new concept called the Q80 Inspiration is a four-seater fastback and it previews a potential future rival for the Porsche Panamera.
The concept is described as a “low-slung, ingeniously aggressive four-door passenger fastback”, the Q80 Inspiration also gives a preview of a production car that will sit at the very top of Infiniti’s range of cars.
Being a luxurious brand, it has been known for long that Infiniti plans to take on the other luxury rivals like Porsche with a larger sports saloon. There is also a possibility that the Q80 will lead to more luxurious sedan which will serve as a rival for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
“We want to create a new silhouette and also show that tailoring is the key to Infiniti’s future. Inside there’s no compromise on the emotion or the roominess, that’s why it’s a five-meter car,” said Infiniti’s executive design director, Alfonso Albaisa to Autocar.
