We bid you annyeonghaseyo 4,600 km from home as the third round of the 2013 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series takes team FXPrimus Aylezo to South Korea. With the team having a better run in Sepang back in Round 2, they are determined to maintain the great momentum and if possible, rise up to the top.
The race track they will be racing in for the third round is the newly-completed Inje Speedium, located in the northern part of South Korea. Opening its gates on May 25th 2013, the circuit features a number of twenty turns spread out within the circuit’s length of 4,207 m. And for the third round, Race 1 will take place on August 10th, followed by Race 2 the day after.
Feeling pumped for this new round, team FXPrimus Aylezo swung straight into action with the official practice session. With a clear, sunny weather greeting them on the circuit after a pre-dawn drizzle, the team was ready to master the circuit and bring back the win for Malaysia.
After prepping up the 570-horsepower Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo race car, the team went down the circuit for the first time with Zen Low behind the wheels. After familiarizing himself with the circuit and couple of laps later, he passes the wheels to Dilantha Malagamuwa for his turn of practicing.
With the team being generally happy with the lap times being improved compared to the unofficial practice session, they now shift their attention in giving out the best for Qualifying 1 and 2 taking place the next day. Although Zen describes the track to be “hard on the car”, it is surely nothing that they could not handle.
