The Finest Scale Model to Date – 1959 Aston Martin DBR1

While some express their passion towards cars through modifications or enjoying long drives, others do so by collecting scale models of their favorite marquee that brings a certain sentimental value to them. And although those in the scale of 1:24 or 1:18 had already projects a great amount of detail that nearly imitates the real one to the finest detail, this creation by Evanta Motor Company has got to be one of the best.

This is a model of a classic Aston Martin DBR1. And to those that might not know the story that comes with this car, it was a Le Mans racer back in 1959 with Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori on the wheels. Yes, it is the Carroll Shelby that various muscle cars had received his power touches and bears his name proudly. At one glance, the model looks properly done, with the fine details like the paintjob and the wheels looking almost like the real thing. Well it should be as this Aston Martin is actually in a 1:1 scale model!

This handmade model includes almost everything down to the finest detail to totally fool the unsuspecting eyes that this is a real car. Upholstered seats, 16-inch wire wheels, the steering and also a signed cap by both of the drivers are among those that complete the outlooks of this car, which all parts come with an AirFlix-like guide number attached.

Sounds interesting? Well unfortunately for the time being, there is only one of such available for grabs, and that one is going to auction during the Goodwood Revival weekend at UK’s Goodwood Circuit. But that is actually not the main issue as something this rare and handmade will definitely come with an appropriate price tag that suits its status; £20,000 – £30,000 (RM97,000 – RM145,000) to be exact.
