Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), official importer of Porsche vehicles in Malaysia, has officially launched the Cayenne GTS on our shores. The GTS focuses on sporty performance, dynamic power, and firmer, lower-slung body, slotting in neatly between the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo models.
“The Porsche Cayenne is among the bestsellers in the Porsche’s product range. With the new Cayenne GTS, this makes up a total of six variants that are currently available in Malaysia for this second generation luxury SUV which combines sportiness and efficiency, each in their own way,” said Arnt Bayer, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance.
The Cayenne GTS is powered by the same naturally aspirated V8 from the Cayenne S, but updated to produce more horsepower and torque. The result is a very healthy 420hp/515Nm with a Zerotohundred sprint of 5.7 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 261km/h. It has also been lowered by 24mm (compared to the Cayenne S), and comes with Porsche Suspension Management System (PASM) as standard. What this really means is: space and comfort of a large SUV, with dynamics and agility of a sports car.
Visually, the GTS gains the front bumper from the Turbo, high-gloss black trim, more prominent skirts, wider skirts, and a distinctive rear spoiler with twin-wing profile. The interior features a mix of leather and Alcantara, and sports seats up front that maintain the Cayenne’s sporty elegance. These enhancements help to add welcome aggression to the Cayenne’s somewhat mild profile.
Prices for the Cayenne GTS start from RM800,000 OTR without insurance and includes a 4-year factory warranty, together with a 4-year complimentary service and maintenance package.
