Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, has indicated that they have ear-marked next week for the launch of the highly anticipated all-new Peugeot 408 (T73).
The 408 will be entering into C-segment competition armed with its performance, spaciousness, elegance and safety. According to Nasim, the Peugeot 408 looks to raise the bar in terms of quality and refinement for C-segment vehicles in Malaysia.
“The Peugeot 408 is locally assembled at Naza Automotive Manufacturing (NAM) in Gurun, Kedah and is ready to be launched for both the Malaysian and regional markets. We are targeting to produce 60,000 units of the all-new 408 over a five-year period beginning 2012 and we plan to export 60% of that total to markets in the region,” said SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of the Naza Group of Companies.
The regional markets consists of Peugeot distributors from Australia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Brunei, the Philippines and Bangladesh; who will be locking in their orders within the next few months.
Nasim has indicated that two variants, possessing a copious amount of boot space (562 litres) for your golf clubs, will be made available for the Malaysian market and one of them will be fitted with an enhanced fuel-efficient engine that produces the most power in its segment.
Together with Nasim’s existing lifetime 24-hours Peugeot Assistance service and its exclusive Peugeot Privilege membership, SM Nasarudin said that the company aims to provide the best ownership experience for its customers.
