NAZA bikes and Two Brothers Racing (TBR) have just officially showcased the fruits of their collaboration that began in October 2011, where TBR’s exhaust system can be found on the Hyosung-derived NAZA Blade TBR 250R and 650R 2013 Edition – priced at RM18,000 and RM26,000, respectively.
At that price point, the two bikes are predominantly found attractive by entry-level riders who can now get some performance out of their daily riding with a 5% increase in power delivery for its 4-stroke 75-degree V-Twin, 8 valve, DOHC motor as well as a weight reduction of 3kg from just using TBR’s carbon fibre-based exhaust muffler.
The 163kg entry-level Naza Blade TBR 250R gets an additional 1.5bhp on top of its standard 26.3bhp from its 250cc motor at 10,000rpm, with torque levels still remaining at 21Nm at 6,750rpm, but none-the-less it all gets managed by a 5-speed manual transmission. The 250R rides on a set of 17″ rims, with the front wearing a 120/70 tyre while the rear is a 150/70 tyre and braking comes in the form of a double front disc up front with a single disc at the rear.
As for the more powerful 200kg Naza Blade TBR 650R with a 650cc motor providing significantly more power, it gets an additional 3.6bhp for its standard 79bhp, for a total of 82.6bhp, still torque is unchanged at 67Nm at 7,250rpm, while an additional gear gets thrown into the mix allowing you to shift up to 6th.
The TBR 650R also uses the same set of 17″ rims and disc brake setup as the TBR 250R , except the tyres get swapped out for a larger set at 120/60 up front while a 160/90 tyre gets used for the rear and high performance steel braided line with red protective sleeve gets added into the mix.
While both bikes are adorned with flashy TBR Stickers, colour is coordinated by the TBR 250R wearing black and the TBR 650R being draped in speedy red. Both bikes come with a 1 year limited warranty.
